Use this checklist to audit your personal LinkedIn profile. Add notes to things you want to work on and make sure your profile is up-to-date.
1. Do you have a professional photo?
2. Is your headline detailed and professional?
3. Does your summary include details and keywords?
4. Is your contact information available?
5. Does your public profile URL include your name? Read "How to claim your public profile URL on LinkedIn".
6. Do you have details of at least 3 recent work positions?
7. Have you included your education, honors, awards and other highlights?
8. Do you ask others for recommendations and endorsements? (Be proactive to do so towards connections you know well without asking.)
9. Have you asked to be introduced to other professional?
10. Do you regularly participate in groups?
11. Do you follow companies you may want to work/collaborate for/with?
12. Is your profile connected with other social networks and websites?
13. Do you regularly update your status and share articles?
14. Do you continuously maintain connections and add new ones and offer a greeting message?
