4 Ways To Launch Mobile Marketing Seamlessly

businessman-2056031_1920.jpgIn marketing, the global trend is that desktop viewing is going to be overtaken by mobile marketing. This is because people no longer view information in the same way as before. Instead of opening up their laptop or desktop computer, there’s a higher chance that they may turn towards their smartphone and source for (or view) the information there instead. With the fast pace of business marketing, it hence becomes vital to grab on this trend. Here are 4 tips for your mobile marketing campaign:

1) Make The Subject Line As Short As Possible.

Mobile phones only have a limited (and relatively small) surface area to view content. In order for comfortable reading and maximum impact,  you need to ensure that the subject line fits perfectly within this limited space. Subject lines which have 15 characters or less are ideal.

2) Keep Your Content Concise

People who are using mobile devices are more likely to be in motion, i.e. there’s a higher chance that they are viewing their smartphones while they are in transit. They’ll quickly skim any messages on the phone, so it is necessary to make your content short and concise. If they have to scroll down to obtain more information, they may just choose to stop reading instead. A mobile marketing campaign will not provide results if the audience cannot receive the message you want to deliver. Try to place the most important parts at the start of the email/text message, or highlight the importance of reading below the fold.

3) Design With A Mobile-Suitable Size

Ideally, a resolution size of 500-600px will be the most comfortable one for viewing on phones, so it is better to adjust image sizes to make for comfortable viewing on mobile devices. If possible, keep in mind the image sizes for different mobile devices, as it can vary from phone to phone.

4) Keep Yourself Updated On Mobile Trends

Many businesses have adopted email marketing, but even in email marketing, you will need to keep updated on mobile trends. Smartphones have come a long way, and there are many reasons why your email isn’t delivered. Draft emails so that it is user-friendly to mobile users too. For example, plain text emails are a smart way to increase email deliverability, and have faster loading speeds than HTML emails. Use image alt-texts as well, just in case viewers have their ‘auto-download images’ on their phones switched off.
